Medical Disclaimer

ASQ Calculator is an educational ASQ-3 scoring tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The scores produced are informational only and are based on published cutoff values from the ASQ-3 User's Guide (Squires & Bricker, 2009, Brookes Publishing). Always consult your child's pediatrician, a developmental pediatrician, or a licensed early childhood professional about any concerns regarding your child's development.

Not a Diagnostic Tool

The ASQ-3 is a screening tool, not a diagnostic instrument. A “Refer for Evaluation” result indicates that a qualified professional should look further into the child's development. It does not confirm a developmental delay, disability, or any medical condition. Roughly a quarter of children who score in the referral range are later found to have typical development upon full evaluation.

Not for Clinical Record-Keeping

This tool does not store your inputs or results. If you are a clinician using the ASQ-3 as part of formal screening programs, you should retain an official license of the instrument and follow your institution's record-keeping, reporting, and referral workflows. This site does not provide HIPAA-covered storage or transmission of health information.

Accuracy of Information

We take steps to keep cutoff values and educational content accurate, but we make no warranty that the tool is error-free. If you discover an incorrect cutoff, citation, or developmental fact, please email contact@theasqcalculator.com so we can correct it quickly.
